A branding project and bar concept based on time
About the Idea
The world we live in depends on the time we live in. And a time in which time is money needs new concepts. I developed such a concept with my friend Jana in Berlin. The German capital has countless bars, cafés and (co-)working spaces for the new work generation. Our concept is a mixture of shared workspace and café/bar. You don’t pay for your coffee, cake, snacks or drinks, no desk fee, electricity flat rate or anything else. You pay for the time you work there and get a flat rate on everything else. That’s »Zeitgeist«.
About the Work
Jana came up with the idea, I came up with the name and the design. The iconic »Z« for »Zeitgeist« in the logo represents an hourglass (but I guess you’ve already spotted that very obviously). The bright fluorescent yellow contrasts the shabby chic look of the interior and the dark, muted, peeling colors of the furniture. It is a statement to time and it will fade with it.
